Caldor Fire -
John B. MeGee Memorial Fund
One of our dearest, and longest participating brother, George MeGee, recently shared a childhood recollection about the Great Depression, a time when things were particularly hard and food was scarce, he fondly remembered watching his father hand a $20 bill to their neighbor, after the home burned down. In that moment, as a small child, George learned from his father, the importance of giving, even when there isn't much to share. Born in love and admiration of the action taken to relieve the suffering of a fellow human, Morning Star Lodge proudly and fondly established this fund in the name of John B. Megee, as our lodge devotes our time and efforts to assist the members of our community displaced due to the current fire conditions.
***DISCLAIMER - All Funds collected will be used to address the needs of those displaced from Wildfires. Our efforts will start at our doorstep with the Caldor Fire, but in the event that this fire resolves and there are funds remaining in this account, it is possible that Morning Star Lodge will help support other fire victims in the Northern California region, such as, but not limited to, The Dixie Fire.***
